Quarantine Map

As of November 2004, 158 Texas counties have been quarantined for Africanized honey bees.  Winkler County was added to the Texas AHB quarantine list on November 9, 2004.

The quarantine allows beekeepers to move bee hives within but not out of the zone in an effort to prevent the assisted spread of Africanized honey bees.
